To get you up and running quickly, download the binary executable for your platform.
For custom installations, download and build Dakota from source code.
Once Dakota is installed, set up platform variables to access executables, examples, and tests.
Make sure Dakota runs. You should see Dakota version information when you type:
Run a larger suite of tests (requires Perl 5.x).
If you are new to Dakota, try the following example to demonstrate the basics of running Dakota.
